In 2015, I received my first-ever computer from Computers 2 Kids through the Brad Fowler Memorial Scholarship. Before that, I relied on the public library in my neighborhood just to get homework done. That computer was life-changing — it gave me confidence and made me feel ready for college. Having my own device opened doors I didn’t think were possible.”
After earning his degree in Criminal Justice from San Diego State University, Johnny Garcia went on to serve at the County of San Diego, United Way, and today is a Senior Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, supporting the Department of Defense and national security initiatives.
Reflecting on his journey, Johnny shares:
