Of course not. For low-income families, the barrier isn\u2019t desire\u2014it\u2019s affordability and accessibility. Digital exclusion is a structural barrier that keeps families from advancing.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Kids can\u2019t complete school assignments, leading to lower GPAs and graduation rates.<\/li>\n<li>Teens and adults don\u2019t have access to online job applications and workforce training.<\/li>\n<li>Seniors can\u2019t take advantage of telehealth appointments.<\/li>\n<li>Families have less opportunities to engage in civic and community life.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Digital inequity isn\u2019t being effectively addressed by government programs or foundation grants either. Less than\u00a02% of philanthropic dollars nationwide\u00a0are directed to digital inclusion. In May 2025, the federal Digital Equity Act administered by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration was abruptly cancelled affecting programs across 20 states.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>But there is a solution. Digital equity offers extraordinary ROI for donors. Individual donors empower transformational changes.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Digital equity is a multiplier.
