When I heard about Computers 2 Kids at the Boys & Girls Club back-to-school event, I knew it was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up,” said Aracely Hurtado. “My 14-year-old daughter Aisha’s school tablet was five years old and barely working anymore, so I decided to get her a refurbished computer. Then I thought about her friend Angel, who didn’t have a father or the means to get one, and I knew I had to help. So I signed up for two computers—one for Aisha and one for Angel. My friend Vicki came with me to help carry them home.”
Thanks to Computers 2 Kids, two young students now have the tools they need to succeed in school and beyond. Aracely shared, “This program doesn’t just give computers—it gives kids a chance to keep learning and believing in themselves.
