Our Technology Assistance Program serves families and individuals who are low-income, veterans, seniors, or students without a working home computer. You must live in the U.S. and meet basic income-eligibility guidelines similar to those used for free or reduced-price lunch, SNAP, or other public-assistance programs.
To apply, visit the TAP page on on our website and complete the application form. If you are approved, you will be taken to the purchase page where you can purchase your computer(s).
Qualifying families can receive a refurbished desktop or laptop computer for a small co-pay, typically between $100–$200, depending on the system. Every system comes with Microsoft Windows, educational software, webcam, and Wi-Fi capability.
Computers received through our Technology Assistance Program include limited lifetime technical support to help with common issues.
Once you complete your application, you will be redirected to the storefront, where you can select your device(s) and make your payment. Once purchased, your system will ship within two business days. Families typically receive their computers within one week of order, depending on program availability, demand, and shipping times.
You will need basic household details, contact information, and proof of eligibility (such as participation in programs like CalFresh, Medi-Cal, or school free/reduced lunch).
